COVID-19 Statistics | July 27, 2022 – The outpost of the coast is lost

Today, Humboldt County Public Health reported the death of a resident in their 70s. A new hospitalization case of a resident in his 70s was also reported. An additional 253 confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 were announced as well as 101 new probable cases for the period between Tuesday 19 July and Tuesday 26 July. The county’s total number of confirmed cases is 20,613. An additional 4,473 cases have been reported as probable. *

OptumServe provides rapid antigen testing and PCR testing services in the Wharfinger Building. Immediate attendees will receive a rapid antigen test unless attendees specifically state that they require a PCR test. Antigen testing appointments can be made at lhi.care/covidtesting or by calling 888-634-1123. The Wharfinger test runs from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and closes from 11 a.m. to noon and 4 to 5 p.m.

Local vaccination data updated on the COVID-19 dashboard. Highlights include:

  • Since the last weekly report on July 20, 94 residents have completed their series of vaccinations.
  • A total of 90,871 individuals, or roughly 67% of the county’s total population, had been fully vaccinated as of Tuesday.

Vaccines remain readily available throughout Humboldt County, and as always, vaccination and testing services in Humboldt are free of charge. Attendees are welcome at all public health clinics and some pharmacies vaccination sites. Appointments can also be made at MyTurn.ca.gov.

New clinics for young children from 6 months to 5 years old have been added at several vaccination sites. Appointments for young children clinics are required and can be made at MyTurn.ca.gov. * “Confirmed cases” are the total of confirmed positive PCR test results or SARS-CoV-2 detection by genetic sequencing, and “probable cases” are individuals who:

  • You have a positive antigen (Ag) test for COVID-19, or
  • You have been diagnosed with COVID-19 by a healthcare provider, or
  • You have symptoms of COVID-19 after close contact with someone who has a PCR-confirmed test result, or
  • Was He Dead His death certificate lists COVID-19 as a cause or significant contributing factor to his death, in the absence of a positive PCR test result.
