In the upcoming Netflix series “Uncoupled,” Neil Patrick Harris plays a New York City realtor whose life is turned upside down after his friend suddenly breaks with him after 17 years.
When Lawson gingerly fights his way back into the dating pool, he’s forced to learn about apps like Grindr and the “d-k pic” concept.
The “How I Met Your Mother” star told Page Six on the series’ premiere Tuesday night that he was heavily involved in Michael’s self-portrait.
“Not only did I get approval, [but] I was asked to pick said d–k, which is harder than you think, and no pun intended,” he said mockingly with his raised eyebrow.
The TV vet, 49, explained that he was also asked to agree to a “loose rubber penis that was left in my dressing room,” which certainly didn’t pass.
“It wasn’t a good thing because I’m more proud of Michael’s member than something that is mass-produced, and you can buy it online,” he said.
The alum “Doogie Howser” revealed that the penis project involved a painstaking research process.
“So we started looking at pictures of people who took pictures of their bush in the locker rooms,” he said. “And you had to find the right angle, the right collar, and the right look. And I think we found the right mix. I’m proud of what I pack downstairs.”
Harris was joined at the premiere by the show’s other stars, Tisha Campbell, Brooks Ashmanskas, Tuke Watkins, and Emerson Brooks, as well as show creators Darren Starr and Jeffrey Richman.
“not paired” Premiere on July 29th.
