Mega Millions numbers: Jackpot tops $1 billion, 4 new millionaires in New York and New Jersey – WABC-TV

The Mega Millions lottery jackpot rose to $1.02 billion after no one matched all six numbers and won the first prize.

Although there are no grand prize winners, four people in the Tri-State — two in New York and two in New Jersey — wake up millionaires on Wednesday morning.

The winning numbers for Tuesday 7/26/22 were: 29, 63, 66, 7, 60 – Mega Ball 15.

A winning $1 million ticket was sold at the Honey Bee Convenient Store on Forest Avenue in the Mariners Harbor section of Staten Island. The second was sold at Cumberland Farms in Corinth in the county of Saratoga

Two more tickets worth $1 million were sold in New Jersey.

One was sold at 7-Eleven on County Road in Tenafly. The other was sold at Circle K on Richmond Avenue in Point Pleasant.

In all, eight tickets were sold nationally before Tuesday night’s draw that matched five numbers, but he missed the huge number.

Tickets with five figures, but missing the huge number, are either worth a million dollars or a multiple of a million dollars.

Friday’s $1 billion Mega Millions jackpot will be the fourth largest jackpot in US history, after winning the $1.050 billion jackpot in Michigan in January 2021.

The record Mega Millions jackpot was $1.537 billion, won in South Carolina in October 2018 – the world’s largest lottery prize ever won on a single ticket.

The record jackpot in the United States is $1.586 billion for a Powerball draw in January 2016.

Mega Millions is played in 45 states plus Washington, DC and the US Virgin Islands. The game is supervised by state lottery officials.
